The second annual Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) Congress will provide financial advisers with valuable insights and tools to succeed in an evolving industry, as well as valuable networking opportunities.
Under the theme “Power Up”, the FAAA Congress will be held in Brisbane from 27 to 29 November and will include the FAAA Awards Gala Dinner on 28 November, celebrating members who deliver the highest standards of professional and trusted advice.
FAAA chief executive officer Sarah Abood said the Congress is designed to offer advisers a platform to exchange ideas, insights, and knowledge across three days.
“The FAAA Congress 2024 offers an outstanding opportunity for advisers to collaborate with their peers and gain knowledge that will help them succeed in today’s rapidly changing financial services landscape,” Ms Abood said.
“This Congress is more than just a learning opportunity. There is a packed schedule with presentations from experts in their fields as well as interactive sessions, and we encourage all advisers to take advantage of this opportunity to learn, build lasting professional relationships and have a memorable experience.”
In the opening keynote session, attendees will hear from Formula 1 Team Manager Mark Gallagher, along with Formula 1 specialist commentator Bernie Collins as they discuss achieving sustained success by embracing change, leveraging new technologies and building high-performing teams and cultures.
“Few sports reinforce our theme of “Power Up” more than F1: where compliance, planning, teamwork and specialist skills must all align to achieve success,” Ms Abood says.
Another highlight is the session "The Magical Art & Science of Storytelling – How Leaders Power Up Connection," presented by Troy and Zara Love, Directors of Great Talk. This session will provide financial advisers with practical tools to enhance their communication skills and client interactions through the power of storytelling.
Caspar Craven, a leading international motivational speaker, will present "Powered Up – The Big Bold Mindset – Rethinking the Rules of Leadership." Drawing from his experience, including two around-the-world yacht voyages, and building successful businesses, Craven will inspire his audience to adopt a bold mindset to achieve ambitious goals.
FAAA chair David Sharpe says the content of the Congress has been carefully curated to ensure it is timely and relevant for advisers.
“The sessions are designed so advisers leave the event with the knowledge and confidence to navigate regulatory and technological changes,” Mr Sharpe said.
“Our theme, ‘Power Up,’ reflects our commitment to empowering advisers with the latest strategies and innovations to drive performance and growth in their practices.
“As we continue to navigate the complexities of the financial landscape, it is vital for advisers to stay informed and connected. The FAAA Congress 2024 will provide the resources and support necessary to meet these challenges head-on and emerge stronger and more capable.”
As well as the Awards Gala Dinner, other special events include the FAAA Community Breakfast on Thursday 28 November with three-time Olympian Javelin thrower Kelsey-Lee Barber. The CFP® Professional Connect event will be held on Tuesday 26 November, the day before Congress commences.
Early bird tickets are now available for purchase, until 30 September.
