Financial adviser Sarah Carli has qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games for the 400 metre hurdles event, with her employer HLB Mann Judd sponsoring her as she prepares to compete in her second Olympics.

Ms Carli is a qualified financial adviser in the HLB Mann Judd Wollongong wealth management practice, having joined in September 2021. The firm has supported Ms Carli’s dream to compete at the Olympics, including providing her with the workplace flexibility so she can train, compete and prepare for the Paris Olympics while maintaining her career as a financial adviser.

Tony Fittler, chair of the HLB Mann Judd Australasian Association, expressed the firm's best wishes for Ms Carli’s success at the Paris Olympics.

“HLB Mann Judd is immensely proud of Sarah and her achievements. We’re looking forward to cheering her on as she competes at her second Olympic Games at Paris 2024 and we wish her every success in what we expect will be some of the greatest races of her life,” he said.

Ms Carli said her Olympic selection is the culmination of dedication and hard work.

“Balancing work and life with elite sport has been very challenging; it has required some tough choices. HLB Mann Judd has been incredibly supportive and understands how important getting to the Paris Olympics is to me.

"I see Paris as the pinnacle of my track and field career, and I am doing everything possible to ensure I perform at my best. Through perseverance and patience, I’ve built an environment that brings out the best in me, both on the field and in the workplace.

“Right now, my focus is on Paris. I’m committed to giving it my absolute best. Regardless of the outcome, there will be a sense of closure. Afterwards I know I have an amazing job waiting for me in the HLB Mann Judd Wollongong wealth management practice.

“I am honoured that HLB Mann Judd is sponsoring me and I’m proud to have the opportunity to wear the HLB logo on my race uniform,” Ms Carli says.

Ms Carli’s athletics career began at the age of eight at the Wollongong Little Athletics Club. After high school, she completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Management and Finance at the University of Wollongong. Returning to elite athletics after university, she represented Australia at the Tokyo Olympics, Birmingham Commonwealth Games and, most recently, the World Athletics Championships in Budapest.
