Project introduction

Quay Global Investors is a global listed real estate investment manager, and a boutique partner of Bennelong Funds Management. Each month, Quay executives develop a regular paper - Investment Perspectives - that provides a view on the themes, challenges and opportunities for investors in real estate.

Problem & challenges

As part of the ongoing PR program for Quay Global Investors, PB Comms sought a way to make the most of the regular information developed by Quay and its executives, to expand its reach and maximise its value. It was also important to do so in a way that didn’t require significant further work or effort from Quay executives.

Solution

PB Comms reviews each issue of Investment Perspectives and develops a suitable approach. For one paper (“Don’t judge a property by its building”), we drafted three separate contributed articles which we placed in three key target publications. This strategy was implemented to ensure as much media coverage as possible of the key themes addressed in the initial paper.

Results

After developing the three contributed articles, we approached the three key target publications – Money Management, Sydney Morning Herald/The Age and Your Investment Property Magazine.

Each article was successfully placed:

  • Money Management: Property investment more than just attractive buildings by Chris Bedingfield (https://www.moneymanagement.com.au/features/expert-analysis/property-investment-more-just-attractive-buildings)
  • Sydney Morning Herald/The Age (commercial property pages): Don’t judge a property by its building (https://www.smh.com.au/business/companies/don-t-judge-a-property-by-its-building-20181024-p50bn0.html)
  • Your Investment Property Magazine: Why ‘stable’ trumps ‘sexy’ in property investing (https://www.yourinvestmentpropertymag.com.au/market-analysis/why-stable-trumps-sexy-in-property-investing)
