PritchittBland Communications is jointly owned by Claudia Pritchitt and Leeanne Bland, who between them have over 50 years’ experience in communications, public relations and marketing.

Claudia Pritchitt

Director and principal

Claudia has over 25 years’ public relations consulting experience in both Australia and the UK, with almost 20 years in the financial services industry. In 2003 she co-founded Pritchitt Partners, which later became PritchittBland Communications.

She specialises in financial and investment strategic communications and content creation.

Claudia is a member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA). She has a Bachelor of Arts degree (English and History) from the University of Sydney.

Leeanne Bland

Director and principal

Leeanne has 30 years’ financial services and investment communication experience including journalism, public relations consulting and marketing communications.

As a journalist, she has written for and edited a diverse range of financial services and personal finance publications including the Sydney Morning Herald personal finance section, Money Management newspaper, and NEWS.com.au. She has also worked in-house in marketing and media relations roles at the ASX, Centric Wealth and AMP.

Leeanne holds a Commerce and Marketing degree from the University of Western Sydney.

Judith Buchan

Account director

Judith Buchan is a media and communications specialist with more than 15 years experience in corporate communications and business journalism.  She joined PritchittBland Communications in 2019 and is based in Perth.

She has worked for Business Review Weekly, Accountancy Age and Mortgage Professional Australia as a journalist, and has held communications and marketing roles at Wilson Asset Management and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Judith has served as a Committee member to the West Australian chapter of ICON and the New South Wales branch of the Asia Pacific Professional Services Marketing Association (APSMA).

Adrian Flores

Senior account manager

Adrian is an experienced journalist and communications specialist with particular expertise in the financial services industry.

He has worked as a communications specialist at Crafted Writing, focused on copywriting for a range of financial services clients including life insurers, major banks and financial software providers.

Prior to this, he worked with Momentum Media across the full range of titles in the wealth division, including IFA, InvestorDaily, SMSF Adviser and MyBusiness. He has also worked as a journalist on The CEO Magazine.

He holds a Master in Journalism from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Bachelor of Economic and Social Science from the University of Sydney.

Ilana Soroka

Account coordinator

Ilana joined PritchittBland as a permanent staff member in February 2022, after working as an intern.

In this role she provides account support to clients, including day-to-day account coordination, research, media monitoring and client reporting, as well as a range of office administration tasks.

Ilana is studying a Bachelor degree at the University of Technology, Sydney, in Business and Creative Intelligence and Innovation.

Specialist contractors

PritchittBland Communications uses specialist contractors to provide skilled services such as content writing and media training.

Penny Pryor


Penny is a freelance journalist with 20 years’ experience in writing, reporting and editing for both financial services industry participants and personal investors.

She has been editor of trade publications InvestorDaily and Investment magazine, and also contributed to and edited the Money section of the Sun Herald/Sun Age, and the AFR Smart Investor magazine.

She currently edits Industry Moves’ product newsletter and contributes to other investment publications such as SuperGuide, Field Research and RFi Group.

Anna Grutzner

Media trainer

Anna Grutzner has more than 25 years’ experience in communications, stakeholder engagement and media training.

She previously worked as a journalist in Melbourne and Canberra for The Australian, The Canberra Times and the Sun Herald, including a four-year period as a political correspondent in the Canberra press gallery. While living in France for two years, she contributed a daily commentary to ABC Radio and worked as a French-English translator. She has also taught adults English as a Second Language for the past five years.

Anna is a former director and owner of PR consultancy Fenton Communications, where she led the media training team and was head of the Sydney office.

Andrew Main

Media trainer

Andrew Main has spent 35 years in journalism and stockbroking, in Perth to Sydney, Paris and London.
He was business editor of The Australian between 2007 and 2009, and wealth editor from 2009 to 2015. Prior to this he was a senior reporter with the Australian Financial Review for 14 years. He started his career with The West Australian newspaper in 1979.

Andrew was the joint winner in 2004 of the top prize in Australian journalism, the Gold Walkley Award, and has published two books: Other People’s Money – The complete story of the extraordinary collapse of HIH and Rivkin Unauthorised – The meteoric rise and tragic fall of an unorthodox money man.
